OpSource announced that it has received $20 million in investment capital, venture leasing, and credit lines, led by Intel Capital, the venture capital arm of Intel Corporation, and others. The company will use the funds to further develop its Optimal On-Demand SaaS delivery platform...

OpSource Taps Ray Solnik as President and COO
OpSource is pleased to welcome Ray Solnik as president and COO. Together, Treb Ryan, OpSource CEO and Ray Solnik will continue to refine and execute against OpSource's overall corporate and investment strategy while extending OpSource's leadership in the rapidly growing SaaS and web application service delivery market. Ray�s primary responsibility will be to orchestrate the company�s efforts to capitalize on long-term growth opportunities and align its operations with key customer segments. To accomplish this, he will work to assure that all departments within the company are aligned and executing with excellence to achieve company objectives.
�I am excited to join OpSource at this most critical juncture in its corporate history,� says Solnik. �The company is a proven leader in the SaaS market and has aspirations to drive the market and company growth much further. The recent $20M in outside investment, including a Series C financing led by Intel is another great statement about the future of the company. Making our customers successful is our main goal.�

Ray brings a wealth of manegerial, operational and marketing experince to OpSource, having served most recently as chief development officer of New Edge Networks. Prior to the $1billion plus sale of New Edge Networks to EarthLink, an Atlanta-based Internet company, he was president of AT&T Worldnet, AT&T's consumer Internet company. Earlier, as vice president for consumer strategic marketing for AT&T, he headed a portfolio of growth businessesand was responsibile for the successful marketing launch of AT&T CallVantage, AT&T's consumer voice over IP product (VoIP). Prior to AT&T, Solnik held senior executive positions in business development and strategy for telecommunications companies NorthPoint Communications and SBC Communications as well as working in the financial services industry at American Express, Intuit, and Commercial Union Capital.
Together, Treb Ryan and Ray Solnik have the vision, operational experience and determination to lead OpSource during this very exciting period of accelerating growth.
