Vitex Systems Awards OpSource IT Services Contract
Ability to Make Back-Office IT Functionality Transparent to Company's Business Operations Was Critical Factor in Selection
SANTA CLARA, Calif., -- August 12, 2003 -- OpSource, Inc., an IT infrastructure services company, today announced that Vitex Systems Inc, a key enabler in the manufacture of next- generation OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) displays, has extended its services agreement with the company. Vitex originally came to OpSource through the acquisition of its managed services provider (MSP) Accelica in November 2002. Vitex's decision to extend its business relationship with OpSource is a testament to the company's ability to offer high quality services while seamlessly transitioning and integrating acquired customers.
"For us to become the market leader of OLED displays, we need to remain focused on building a revenue generating business around our core competencies -- innovations in flat panel displays. OpSource makes this possible by making back-office IT functionality transparent to our business operations," said Ainslie Mayberry, Vitex Systems interim CFO. "OpSource provides technical talent; efficiencies in IT management through standardized processes and procedures; and 24x7 responsiveness that are necessary to ensure our systems and applications are reliable and secure."
"We are very pleased that having come to OpSource via acquisition, Vitex has elected to extend its relationship with us," said Treb Ryan, CEO of OpSource. "Vitex's decision along with similar decisions from the vast majority of our other acquired customers supports our contention that growth by M&A doesn't have to result in lower quality services and customer churn. However they come to us, we put our customers first and our high rate of customer retention and growth speaks to the success of that strategy."
