Account Director

Primary Location: USA-CA-Santa Clara

About the opportunity:
We are seeking experienced, PROVEN software/service sales professionals (true hunters!) looking for a new opportunity with in an exciting high growth company in a very hot market space. This person will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and closing ISV's and application companies for On Demand services. This person will also need to have strong business and consultative sales experience in positioning business solutions to 'C' level decision makers.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and driving to closure new business opportunities.
  • Create & execute territory plan.
  • Meet and/or exceed individual quota.
  • Create client relationships with key contacts.
  • Provide product information, coordinate demos, generate proposals and service orders.
  • Utilize internal sales force automation software provided by the company.
  • Build and maintain pipeline w/qualified leads.
  • Establish and develop internal relationships with Engineering, Operations, Sales teams and administrative staff.
  • Travel within territory as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of successful direct field sales experience in software, hosting services, managed services or related.
  • Understanding of application, database, system, network, security, eCommerce, and other eBusiness technologies a plus.
  • PROVEN closer of complex software and infrastructure solution deals.
  • Ability and understanding of how to work with “C” level business owners.
  • Self-motivated, organized professional, productive and comfortable working out of a remote office away from headquarters.
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable making cold calls and giving client presentations.

Sr. Network Engineer

Location: USA-CA-Santa Clara; USA-VA-Herndon

The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of the LAN/WAN infrastructure in 5 data centers in the US and Europe, and ensuring the infrastructure maintains the customer SLA at all times.

The position will be based in Santa Clara and report to the Senior Director of Technical Operations.

Technical Knowledge and Responsibilities include:

  • Experience managing 24x7 multi site (including International) data networks.
  • Must have deep technical knowledge and experience with F5, CISCO ACE,large complex spanning tree environments and meshed MPLS networks
  • Track record in developing and deploying engineering standards across multiple Network Product environment.
  • Proven record in designing and maintaining 99.999 % SLA networks.
  • Strong technical ability to troubleshoot and solve highly complex IP networks and hardware problems.
  • Provides expert technical support and guidance on highly complex design issues to customers.
  • Must possess a team player spirit.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • CCIE & CISSP certifications desirable

Qualification

  • Degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field preferred
  • Ten or more years of network engineering experience



Network Engineer Manager

Location: USA-CA-Santa Clara; USA-VA-Herndon

Manager of Network Engineering is responsible for providing management and technical direction for the network engineering organization for 5 datacenters in the US and Europe. The manager is also responsible for maintaining all aspects of the LAN/WAN infrastructure in all datacenters and ensuring the infrastructure maintains the customer SLA at all times.

System Engineer / Customer Technical Specialist

Location: USA-CA-Santa Clara; USA-VA-Herndon

OpSource is currently seeking an experienced System Engineer/Administrator to join our technical team supporting complex cross platform customer hosted and SaaS environments. In many cases, we are the operations team for our customers and therefore your technical expertise and proven customer interaction skills are crucial to this position.

As a member of the Service Delivery team you'll need to be comfortable analyzing our customers' systems environments and making pro-active recommendations to ensure that their applications are deployed, run, perform and scale with the highest level of reliability.

You will also be directly responsible for the design, configuration and execution of load and stress tests, collecting scalability and performance data, analyzing test data and the documentation and publication of results. You will work closely with customer teams to troubleshoot issues critical to system functionalities.

You will be a part of a team of demanding, highly motivated individuals and will be expected to both challenge and be challenged.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading technical projects from start to finish while working within organizational change management and project management guidelines
  • Consulting with customer staff to resolve complex customer issues affecting performance, functionality and/or availability degradation
  • Designing and presenting system and application solutions based on your own knowledge of solid operational principles or at our customer's requests
  • Working with system monitoring tools such as perfmon, sar, iostat, and vmstat
  • Working with relational database systems such as Oracle, MSSQL and MySQL
  • Working with and tuning middleware applications such as Tomcat, WebLogic, .NET including memory management, garbage collection
  • Evaluation and implementation of monitoring setups and performing audits of monitoring tools to ensure applications are properly monitored for functionality and availability
  • Ownership and resolution of issues affecting customer business processes and maintaining System Level Agreements
  • Performing system software upgrades including planning / scheduling, testing, coordination, and maintaining integrity of the operating system environment
  • Responding to emergency incidents both during normal business hours and in an after-hours, on-call capacity
  • Perform system backup and recovery
  • Installation of software releases and system upgrades

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Networking knowledge (Firewall, Load Balancer, OSI)
  • Knowledge of how network configuration impacts performance
  • Solid background working in a heterogeneous production operation performing system administration and application management tasks
  • Experience managing web applications in a production environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A big part of this job is communicating effectively with developers and managers
  • Experience scripting in Perl, PHP, BASH or VBScript
  • Expertise in Linux and/or Windows operating systems, experience in both
  • Knowledge of SAN and NAS storage environments
  • Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years as a systems administrator/engineer with at least 2 years in a hosted or outsourced technical environment

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Java or .NET code profiling and diagnostic tools such as JProfiler or ANTS
  • Experience in web programming including HTTP, cookies, HTML, Servlets and Java Server Pages Functional knowledge of CRM Applications
  • Experience managing LAMP, Java and .NET applications
