OpSource Acquires PeopleSoft® EnterpriseOne Application Management Division of Fortrust Solutions
Establishes Denver Operations Center and Expands Service Delivery to Include Enterprise Application Hosting
SANTA CLARA, Calif., -- July 6, 2004 OpSource, Inc., a provider of next-generation outsourced IT infrastructure services, has acquired the PeopleSoft® EnterpriseOne Application Management division of Fortrust Solutions, a collocation solutions provider in Denver, Colorado, and established an operations center in Denver. OpSource now provides enterprise application hosting services, including application monitoring, security, systems administration and disaster recovery, for Fortrust customers that have purchased PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne ERP, CRM, business intelligence, supply chain management, and supplier relationship management applications. To ensure a smooth transition, members of the Fortrust Solutions Application Management team, including Tom Newman, Director of Security and Application Services, will join OpSource.
Acquisition Parallels Growth in Application Hosting
As noted in IDC's Worldwide and U.S. Application Management Services 2004-2008 Forecast, the compound annual growth rate of application management services spending worldwide is expected to be 8.6% between 2003 and 2008, reaching $22.3 billion by 2008. (IDC #31132, Volume 1, April 2004)
