The conference, hosted by Sys-Con Media, focuses on the latest cloud trends affecting enterprises today. At Cloud Expo, OpSource CTO John Rowell will outline the multi-layer approach to enterprise cloud security, while CEO Treb Ryan will discuss general cloud computing concerns for the enterprise, including the migration of applications to the cloud. Although public clouds are increasingly popular among enterprises, many businesses still have preconceived notions that they are inherently unsecure. In the panel session titled, “Cloud Networking: Turning Security Upside Down,” moderated by 451 Group Research Director Eric Hanselman, Rowell will join executives from Cisco, CloudSwitch, HyTrust and Trend Micro to discuss the best practices for securing the cloud, comparing and contrasting various approaches for providing edge-to-edge security.
Meanwhile, Ryan will join several other CEOs to discuss key enablers and concerns for enterprises moving to the cloud, including business value, new economic models, and infrastructure software and hardware design, in the Power Panel session, “Enterprise-Level Cloud Computing: Far-Off Dream or Present Reality?” He will also join Aerohive Director of Product Management Steve Woo to discuss the migration of applications to the cloud in a presentation titled, “Deploying High-Availability Apps in the Cloud.” Ryan and Woo will outline the drivers, challenges and impacts of migrating real applications to the cloud.
