Santa Clara, Calif.—March 22, 2011—OpSource, Inc., the leader in enterprise cloud and managed hosting, today announced senior vice president Jon Beck was recently recognized as a 2011 Channel Chief by Everything Channel’s CRN for his work in building OpSource’s channel presence over the last year. Channel Chiefs are leaders in creating effective channel programs for solution providers by consistently defending, promoting and executing effective channel partner programs and strategies.
Over the course of the year, Beck has built the company’s partner ecosystem, culminating with the launch of the OpSource Partner Ecosystem in July of 2010. In this short period, he has grown the partner ecosystem significantly, which contributed to 30% of the company’s overall cloud revenue in 2010. Some of the significant companies that have joined OpSource’s worldwide partner network include Accenture, Cisco Systems, Equinix, Oracle, Computerlinks and NTT.
In his four and a half years as senior vice president of worldwide field operations and business development, Beck oversaw the development of the company’s channel program and direct sales. OpSource has tapped software industry veteran Peter Stern to head the direct sales effort, enabling Beck to focus all of his time on building OpSource’s global partner program, a critical part of the company’s growth.

This year's Channel Chiefs were chosen by the Everything Channel editorial team on criteria including policy and program innovations made during the past year, the amount of revenue their company generates through partners, their willingness to speak out publicly on behalf of the channel and the number of years they have dedicated to channel activities.
Already a recognized name in the value-added reseller (VAR) community, Beck has previously served in a number of senior level sales and operational roles in the tech industry, most recently as COO of Panterra Networks. Prior to his work at Panterra Networks, he handled both direct and channel sales in stints at EXP Systems and Critical Path, Inc.
“Cloud is simply the direction the market is going, and OpSource is uniquely equipped to enable Distributors, VARs and telco service providers to deliver true enterprise-class solutions to their customers, wherever those customers may be,” said Beck. “We teach our channel partners how to sell cloud services and use the cloud as a means to pull through existing products and services already sold by the partner.
