Santa Clara, Calif.—June 15, 2010—OpSource™, the leader in enterprise cloud and managed hosting, today announced that telecom industry veteran Keao Caindec has joined OpSource as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Caindec will focus on expanding the company’s presence in the high-growth IT services sectors of cloud and managed hosting. The market for cloud services is expected to grow to more than $150 billion by 2013, according to Gartner.

“OpSource has been serving the complex hosting needs of companies like Adobe and SAP for more than eight years,” said Treb Ryan, CEO, OpSource. “As a result, we’ve developed the technology and know-how to scale and deliver mission-critical applications. The high-growth cloud services market represents a huge opportunity for OpSource. Keao has a proven track record in driving growth and adoption for emerging technologies and services, working closely with systems integrators, carriers and the channel to deliver complete solutions. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”

Providing more than traditional hosting services, OpSource offers Application Operations, which includes database management, compliance management, change management, performance management and application optimization. In 2009, the company introduced OpSource Cloud, a cloud service for companies requiring pay-as-you-go flexibility and 100% availability as well as high security and control.

Caindec brings to the company 18 years of marketing leadership for managed services, telecommunications and Internet services companies. At OpSource, Caindec is responsible for the company's worldwide marketing operations including marketing strategy, branding, communications and programs. Prior to OpSource, Caindec was Chief Marketing Officer of Reliance Globalcom, a global communications provider with more than $1.6 billion in annual revenues. A diversified communications company, Reliance Globalcom provides colocation, hosting, data, network and voice services to thousands of global enterprises and more than two hundred carriers.

“What attracted me to OpSource was its ability to solve the top enterprise concerns associated with cloud computing today: security, control, performance and ease of integration. Additionally, OpSource’s unique experience in billing and integration make it a perfect partner for channel,” Caindec said. “Most of today’s cloud services providers have commodity offerings that are used for non-mission critical applications. OpSource aims to lead the market in enterprise-class cloud and managed hosting services, providing solutions that are high performance, secure and easy to integrate.”

Previously, Caindec was Chief Marketing Officer of Yipes Enterprise Services, a leading managed data and application delivery company acquired by Reliance Communications and later renamed Reliance Globalcom. At Yipes, Caindec led the transformation of Yipes from a pure telecom provider to a content and application distribution platform, forging partnerships with more than eighty content providers, including LexisNexis, ThompsonReuters, NYSE, Nasdaq and the London Stock Exchange. Caindec was also a principal and founder of Farallon Technology Resources, a solutions provider for acceleration, content distribution and IP route control. He has held executive and senior management positions in marketing and business development at British Telecom; MCI Communications; Internap, a cloud-based network acceleration provider; and CyberCash (acquired by Verisign), a cloud-based transaction processor; and ATMnet (acquired by NTT Verio).
